Nassau, Bahamas

We had the opportunity to visit the Bahamas during the Cruise for a Cause in June 2007. This is an annual Christian cruise, with lots of great bands, speakers, and comedians. After leaving Port Canaveral, we visited the island of Nassau.

During our tour of the island, we visited one of its most famous landmarks: the Queen's Staircase. We were able to climb down its 65 steps, which symbolize the 65 year reign of Queen Victoria. Ironically, this staircase built to honor the queen who abolished slavery, was built by slaves between 1793 and 1794.

Here's the whole group of us that made the trip. Just a few of us, I know.
